Conill today announced that it has won a gold Effie award in the Hispanic category for its integrated "Mundo Yaris" campaign for Toyota. The award was presented during the 39th annual Effie gala, held last night at New York's Metroplolitan Pavillion.
"This makes a fantastic complement to the large portfolio of creative awards we've won over the past year," said Carlos Martinez, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Conill's Los Angeles office. "What's most gratifying about this award is that it recognizes work that we've accomplished together with the client. It would not have been possible without a close relationship with a terrific partner."
Combining interactive, television, print, promotions and non-traditional advertising, the campaign transformed the newly launched Yaris into the most recognized entry-level subcompact among the Hispanic community in its first years of sales. The centerpiece of the effort was Mundo Yaris (Yaris World -- http://www.mundoyaris.com), an interactive universe that housed every element of the Yaris consumer experience.
The Yaris campaign has won several industry awards for its creative concept, execution and results. Most recently, Mundo Yaris won the award for best Hispanic microsite / website at the 41st annual Belding awards, held on June 6th in Los Angeles. Conill's work for another Toyota vehicle, the Camry, earned a bronze award at the Festival Iberoamericano de la Publicidad (FIAP) on June 5.
