Immigration Tango Opens February 18 in NY, LA, Miami, Phoenix and Houston Markets; Stars Carlos Leon, Father with Madonna of Lourdes

Immigration Tango, a new film directed by David Burton Morris, opens February 18 at theaters in the NY, LA, Miami, Houston, and Phoenix areas (see below for a list of theaters).

In the film, Elena (Bulgarian Elika Portnoy) is a Russian immigrant studying in Miami for her business degree with hopes of staying in America. She and her Colombian boyfriend Carlos (Carlos Leon) are best friends with an American couple: Betty (Ashley Wolfe), a strong-willed law student, and Mike (McCaleb Burnett), a seemingly underachieving doctoral candidate in literature. When Elena and Carlos run out of legal options for staying in the US, the two couples switch partners and get married, with the understanding they will divorce once they have satisfied the two year probationary period.

Having no use for the trappings of a traditional relationship and marriage, Betty has no philosophical problems with the arrangement. All is well until the stress of keeping up appearances to their family members and their savvy immigration enforcement agent eventually begins to take its toll. Elena wonders whether it was worth it just to stay in the US. Can these marriages be saved?
