Does micro HDMI type D work normally for computer-monitor connection?

Does micro HDMI type D work normally for computer-monitor connection?

I'm considering using a micro HDMI to HDMI with an adapter to plug my computer to my monitor. The reason is I want to pass it through a conduit in the wall and I don't want the hole on the wall to be huge.
That way a type D to type A HDMI cable would be just perfect. I'm asking if it works because from what I read the type D is used a lot for small devices so I'm wondering it would be kinda different or have some limitation compared to regular HDMI.
Thank you!
